Support
Hello Client. How may I help you?Client
Hi, yes I talked with support earlier and was having trouble getting the custom attributes to appear to make Google Merchant happy. I’m still having issues with color and brand name. It is a boutique so the brand name is the name of the boutiqueSupport
Hey Client, yes it’s the same Support you spoke to last timeClient
http://pamalasboutique.com/wp-content/uploads/cart_product_feeds/Google/pamalas-boutique.xml
oh cool.Support
Checking feed…
Ok can you please copy/paste the commands you have here?Client
setAttributeDefault age_group as Adult
setAttributeDefault gender as female
setAttributeDefault brand as “Pamala’s Boutique”
setAttributeDefault color as multicolorSupport
in the attribute table (drop down menus) is brand set to g:brand ?Client
yes it isSupport
hmm
seems changes may not have been saved
can you click Update and Get Feed again?Client
oh wait, i didnt hit get feedSupport
ah, for immediate changes you’ll need to regenerate the feedClient
bingo, sorry this might just a blond momentSupport
otherwise you wouldn’t need to
hah
Also it looks like g:mpn (manufacturer product number) which is mapped from SKU is empty
if you like you can set the id to g:mpnClient
yes that was saying a warningSupport
ohClient
I wasn’t worried about that just yetSupport
AlrightClient
well on my end it is showing sku to g:mpnSupport
By default we’ve set it that way, but you are able to remap it using the drop downs.Client
so that needs to be id?Support
Ideally it would be the manufacturer’s product number
but to
i
and
t
‘
Oops.Client
Okay I gotcha. I’ll need to check with the client to see how they are uploading thisSupport
But since ids are unique, it can be pasable
passable*Client
probably why its telling me its a warning
yay its working . but what is telling me about the mpn “invalid string value in attribute:mpn The value you entered for this attribute is not a valid string. Please enter a contiguous sequence of numbers, characters, or symbols”Support
g:mpn is required — so I would map the id to g:mpn
you should be able to find just “id” in the drop down menu, map it to g:mpnClient
Okay cool.
Okay I think that is all I need for now. I might/probably will be backSupport
